Founded in 2007 and based in Bologna, Akamu is a music agency active in the organization and promotion of cultural events across Europe and internationally, with a focus on jazz, contemporary and new music, Brazilian and world music.

The company operates across promotion, management and booking, working with a wide network of international artists and institutions. Its activities include the organization of major events and productions in collaboration with partners such as RAI Radio 3, Musée du Quai Branly, Théâtre du Châtelet, and international festivals and venues.

As a management and booking agency, Akamu represents and promotes internationally acclaimed artists, including Pulitzer Prize-winning musicians, and has organized extensive European and worldwide tours, as well as hundreds of concerts in leading venues across Europe, the Americas and beyond.
In addition to touring and artist representation, Akamu develops original projects and contributes to radio programming and cultural dissemination activities.

Grande Evento Srls – Piacenza (production)
Delegate: Giovanni Amighetti
Giovanni Amighetti (Parma, 1971) is an Italian music producer working at the intersection of world music, contemporary production and multimedia. His work is characterized by a strong focus on cross-cultural dialogue, often integrating traditional musical languages with digital and interactive elements.

He has collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Ayub Ogada, Mari Boine, David Rhodes, Fred Frith, Guo Yue and Wu Fei, contributing to projects that bridge diverse musical traditions and contemporary sound practices.

Among his productions are works such as No, Russia Cannot Be Perceived by Wit (Terem Quartet), A Distant Youth (Wu Fei, Fred Frith, Carla Kihlstedt), The Fermi Paradox (David Rhodes, Jeff Coffin, Paolo Vinaccia) and Mississippi to Sahara (Faris Amine).

He is currently involved in the project “The Italian Connection”, developed in collaboration with Grande Evento Srls and Griot GmbH.

Grande Evento Srls is an Italian production company founded by Moreno Conficconi, a key figure in Romagna’s folk music scene. Among its recent projects is Journey into Folk Music, bringing together leading artists from Romagna and Salento traditions alongside international guests.

Greta Campri – Ravenna (booking agent)
Delegate: Greta Campri
Greta Campri is an Italian booking agent driven by a deep passion for music and its power to connect cultures. With a background in Fine Arts and personal research in traditional dances – from West Africa to Flamenco and Cuban Rumba – she collaborates with international artists and projects rooted in folk traditions while embracing contemporary sounds.

She works with a roster of international artists, including Latin Grammy-winning legends such as Antonio SerranoGrupo Compay Segundo, and Issac Delgado.

Her work focuses on promoting meaningful musical experiences that foster cultural exchange and create a lasting impact on audiences.

Jazz Network ETS – Ravenna (festival / network)

Founded in 1987, Jazz Network ETS is a non-profit organization and one of the first cultural networks in Europe dedicated to jazz and improvised music. It brings together promoters, musicians’ associations, artistic directors and cultural professionals, fostering collaboration to improve concert programming, touring activities and working conditions across the sector.

Its main activity is the organization of Crossroads – Jazz e Altro in Emilia-Romagna, a major itinerant festival held annually from March to July across more than twenty cities in the region. One of the most extensive jazz initiatives in Europe, Crossroads presents leading international artists alongside emerging talents, original productions and interdisciplinary projects. Since 2013, it also incorporates the historic Ravenna Jazz Festival.

The programme spans a wide range of musical expressions, from jazz to world and electronic music, engaging with other artistic languages in a contemporary and cross-cultural perspective.

Mattia Amantini is production manager at Jazz Network ETS, with over ten years of experience in the classical and jazz music sectors. He oversees the organization and logistics of Crossroads Festival, coordinating productions across multiple venues and cities.
At jazzahead!, he is interested in connecting with international partners, scouting innovative artists and developing new collaborations at European and global level.

Sghetto Club APS – Bologna (live club / label)

Sghetto Club APS is a social promotion association affiliated with ARCI, based in Bologna and dedicated to supporting and promoting local music culture in dialogue with contemporary European and international scenes.

The collective offers its members a dynamic programme of concerts, jam sessions, DJ sets and workshops, fostering creative social spaces and promoting cultural access through an inclusive and sustainable approach. In just a few years, Sghetto Club has established itself among the most interesting jazz clubs in Italy, thanks to its distinctive artistic direction and strong attention to international music trends.

The club actively supports its music community by producing live concert videos and hosting both emerging local artists and internationally recognized musicians.

In 2024, Sghetto Records was founded within the club: a label rooted in jazz with a hip-hop attitude, focused on developing original projects that blend contemporary sounds with Afro-American musical heritage.

The label’s roster includes Kolosso (trap-jazz), Joe Allotta (nu-jazz), Subconscio (neo-soul/electronic), Chromogen (urban jazz) and Bop Gun (funk).

Alberto Romano (b. 1990) is a musician and cultural operator. Originally from Matera, he moved to Bologna to complete his studies in double bass and jazz bass at the Conservatory “G.B. Martini”. Alongside his artistic activity, he works as production manager and technician for festivals and venues, including Montagnola Republic, Reno Splash Festival, Primo Maggio Bologna and Sghetto Club, and as tour manager for Italian and international artists.

He is co-founder of Sghetto Records, where he works as executive producer and A&R.

SIGLA EVENTI / GODOT APS / OFF Club – Modena (Live club)

Godot APS
 is a social promotion association founded in Modena in 2019, dedicated to the promotion of youth culture through events, artistic projects, and educational programs. Since 2025, Godot APS has been involved in the co-management of OFF Club Modena, overseeing its artistic programming and cultural design.

Within the association, SIGLA was established in 2024 as a cultural start-up aimed at building a bridge between emerging creativity and the institutional cultural system, fostering dialogue between artists, cultural operators, and institutions.
SIGLA works on the development, production, and communication of cultural projects, supporting independent practices and participatory processes.

Federico Sigillo is artistic director, director, and production manager for music events, festivals, and cultural programmes.
Through SIGLA EVENTI and Godot APS, he handles the artistic direction of cultural programmes in the city and focuses on promoting young artists, inclusion, and sustainability.
As a director, he creates audiovisual projects and multimedia installations for public institutions and festivals, with particular attention to music and contemporary visual storytelling.

Emilia-Romagna Music Commission promotes and supports the regional music industry and the development of its artists and emerging acts in the field of original contemporary live music.
It addresses professionals active in the music market — including emerging artists, record labels, press offices, publishing companies, booking agencies, promoters, concert organizers and music production companies — who wish to be supported in their production, distribution and promotion pathways at both national and international levels.
In collaboration with ATER Fondazione, since 2022 the Commission has developed a Music Export activity dedicated to the internationalization of the Emilia-Romagna music scene, recognized as a strategic priority from both an economic and cultural perspective.
Emilia-Romagna Music Commission regularly takes part in major national and international industry events to promote the regional music production ecosystem.
